Raids & Sieges
Raids and sieges are how alliances break through enemy defenses and contest territory. The system has three tiers, each with escalating costs, notice periods, and destructive power.
Raid Tiers
Skirmish
- Cost: 500 coins
- Notice Period: 30 minutes (defenders are alerted)
- Active Window: 15 minutes
- Protection Bypass: Breaks protection level 3 and above
Skirmishes are quick, low-cost raids meant for probing defenses or harassing weakly-protected outposts. They are cheap to declare but offer a narrow window of opportunity.
Raid
- Cost: 2,000 coins
- Notice Period: 2 hours
- Active Window: 1 hour
- Protection Bypass: Breaks protection level 4 and above
Standard raids are the most common form of organized aggression. The 2-hour notice gives defenders time to prepare, but the 1-hour window allows for sustained assault on well-fortified positions.
Siege
- Cost: 10,000 coins
- Notice Period: 24 hours
- Active Window: 4 hours
- Protection Bypass: Breaks protection level 5 (maximum)
Sieges are the most powerful and expensive form of attack. They can break through any level of protection, but the 24-hour notice ensures the entire server knows it is coming. Sieges are server-defining events that draw in allies, enemies, and opportunists alike.
TNT Rules
TNT placement and detonation is only allowed during active raid windows within the targeted territory. Outside of active raids, TNT cannot be placed in claimed territory. This ensures that destruction is tied to formal conflict, not griefing.
Surrender
The defending alliance can choose to surrender at any time during an active raid using /raid surrender. Surrendering immediately ends the raid window and grants the attacking alliance access to loot containers in the targeted chunks. This can be a strategic choice to minimize soul point losses when the battle is clearly lost.
Offline Protection
If fewer than 2 members of the defending alliance are online when a raid window begins, the raid is automatically postponed by 4 hours. This prevents alliances from being wiped while everyone is asleep. However, this protection can only trigger once per raid declaration. If 2 or more members are still not online after the postponement, the raid proceeds.
