Alliances
Alliances are the backbone of Soulwyn's political landscape. Band together with other players to claim territory, pool resources, wage wars, and build something greater than any solo player could achieve.
Creating an Alliance
Use /alliance create <name> <tag> to found a new alliance. Creation costs 5,000 coins and the tag must be 2-4 characters. Each alliance has a maximum of 15 members. The founding player becomes the Leader automatically.
Ranks
Alliances have four ranks, each with different permissions:
- Leader: Full control. Can promote, demote, disband, declare war, and manage all settings.
- Officer: Can invite and kick members, manage territory claims, and access the treasury.
- Member: Can build in claimed territory, use alliance chat, and access shared storage.
- Recruit: Limited permissions. Can build in claimed territory but cannot access the treasury or invite others.
Territory & Claims
Alliances can claim chunks of land to protect their builds and resources. Each claimed chunk has a protection level from 0 to 5, which determines how resistant it is to raids. Higher protection levels cost more in daily upkeep but provide stronger defense.
- Level 0: Unclaimed, no protection
- Level 1-2: Basic protection, immune to skirmishes
- Level 3: Moderate protection, vulnerable to raids and sieges
- Level 4: Strong protection, vulnerable only to raids and sieges
- Level 5: Maximum protection, only breakable by full sieges
Each protection level increase costs additional daily upkeep paid from the alliance treasury. If the treasury runs dry, protection levels begin to decay.
Diplomacy & Relations
Alliances can set relations with other alliances to change how they interact:
- Neutral: Default state. Normal PvP rules apply.
- Ally: Friendly fire is disabled. Allied alliances can build in each other's territory.
- Enemy: Hostile declaration. Enables tracking and highlights enemy players.
- War: Formal state of war. Reduces siege costs and enables special war mechanics.
Treasury
Every alliance has a shared treasury. Members can deposit coins using /alliance deposit <amount> and Officers or Leaders can withdraw with /alliance withdraw <amount>. The treasury pays for claim upkeep, raid declarations, and other alliance expenses.
Alliance Chat
Use /ac to toggle alliance-only chat. Messages sent in alliance chat are only visible to your alliance members, making it useful for coordinating strategies without revealing information to enemies.
